Colorado Society of School Psychologists – CSSP New Practitioner Mini-Grant

 

Description of Mini-Grant

The Colorado Society of School Psychologists has a mini-grant program designed to support new practitioners. The CSSP New Practitioner Mini-Grant is completely dependent on private donations and proceeds from the CSSP silent auction held at the annual fall conference.

 

For the 2013-2014 school year, $800 is available for mini-grants, with maximum amount awarded per grant of $400. Mini-grant funds may be used for the following purposes: materials to support direct instruction in a classroom; education and training materials; relevant professional development activities/workshops; assessment materials, items which help meet the basic needs of children; therapeutic curricula; video tapes and/or games; and books for children. Grants may not be used for CSSP fall conference registration fees.

 

Qualifications

New practitioners with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for a mini-grant:

● Currently working in the field of school psychology in a school in Colorado

● Less than 3 years of experience and/or graduation from a school psychology graduate program within the last 3 years.

● Current member of the Colorado Society of School Psychologists

 

In addition, by accepting this mini-grant, the awardees will give back to CSSP through involvement in ONE of the following:

1. Volunteer at least 4 hours at the CSSP Annual Conference

2. Join a CSSP Program Committee or become a Board Member

3. Write an article for the CSSP newsletter about your work as a school psychologist that makes a difference in the lives of children.

New practitioners meeting the above qualifications may apply for a mini-grant by
